PET PARTNERS, BENEFITS & SETTING
A World in which the Beauty & Worth of Humanity & All Creatures are Realized & Respected.

PET PARTNERS
Since 1990, Pet Partners Therapy Animal Program has set the standard for what it means to deliver excellence in animal-assisted interventions.

Excellence is…
-
Pioneering training for the No Rain, No Rainbows Pet Partners Handler Course.
-
Excellent standard of training including a Canine Body Language course and a course with a focus on Infection Prevention & Control for our animals working in healthcare settings.
-
Requiring No Rain, No Rainbows therapy animal teams to renew their registration every two years, ensuring that animals are healthy and enjoying their work (crucial to their welfare) and handlers are prepared for every situation that might arise on a visit (crucial for clients’ safety & staff members’ trust).
-
Supporting animal welfare through core program values like YAYABA™.
-
Engaging volunteers in special initiatives to promote all aspects of public health.
OUR JOURNEY
No Rain, No Rainbows has already exceeded our targets so far in supporting over 800 women and children in our first year, developing increased self worth through our programs and one to one mentoring sessions, with a growing global community just shy of 700 women in a private Facebook group, who inspire and support each other daily.

LOOKING TOWARDS THE FUTURE
Research on AAI and therapy animal work has set a solid framework for us to better understand the healing power of animals. We are proud of our partnership with Pet Partners who promotes continued research in this field and financially supports ongoing studies through with the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI).

SHEA ENDORSED
Pet Partners are the only therapy animal organization to have courses endorsed by the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA). When completed together, the courses Canine Body Language: Reading Signals from Therapy Dogs and Infection Prevention and Control: Therapy Animal Visitation in Healthcare Settings meet the requirements outlined in “Animals in Healthcare Facilities: Recommendations to Minimize Potential Risks” published in 2015.
CONTINUED EDUCATION
No Rain, No Rainbows is committed to professionalizing therapy animal visitation through well-trained handlers.
